Celebrity Engagements in 2021

They said yes! Nilsa Prowant, Caroline Stanbury and other celebs made major strides in their relationships in 2021.

Ladies of London alumni confirmed via social media that Sergio Carrallo, her boyfriend, proposed to her during a trip in Nepal. This engagement took place less than six months after they made their relationship official on Instagram. Stanbury had been married to Cem Haibib before she divorced in December 2019. They share Yasmine, a daughter, and Zac, twin boys.

After receiving negative comments regarding the 10-year-old age gap between Stanbury and her fiance, Stanbury decided to defend her relationship weeks after she confirmed her engagement. Bravo Insider asked her, “Why is this so shocking?” She explained that she doesn’t find it as alarming when men are younger partners.

Prowant herself, on the other hand, crossed off two major milestones in a matter of weeks. The MTV reality star announced that she was pregnant with her first child, a boy, at the start of the holiday season. Gazda soon proposed shortly after revealing the happy news.

Prowant posted via Instagram, “On cloud nine” on January 2, describing the moment Gazda fell on one knee. “The love of our lives asked me to spend forever tonight with him on my 27th Birthday. This has been more than I ever dreamed. It’s amazing to be able to marry my best friend, and soon bring Gray into the world.”

Florida native, a proud mother of two, thanked her “kind and caring, strong” husband for being there for her through all the tough times. “Gus, you have taken the broken pieces out of my heart and put them back together. Your amazement never ceases to amaze me.” She wrote, “I can always count on your help! I know that I can overcome anything with you by my side. I would always say yes. Every time. Let’s now plan a wedding.”

• Jaylan Banks & Falynn Guobadia

The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum, announced that she was engaged to Jaylan Banks in October. She wrote via Instagram, “I don’t know how @itsjaylanbanks managed to pull off this surprise but I am still astonished.”

This news comes just two months after the couple announced that they were expecting their first child together.

On July 30, the NASCAR star revealed via Instagram that he had proposed to his longtime partner after five years of being together. “Sooooooooooooo yeah… I don’t know why I waited so long!” Wallace captioned photos of the romantic waterfall engagement, “Here’s to forever babe. Love you!”
