Dior

Our fashion news for May 2022 begins with Dior’s Spring/Summer campaign featuring Ji Soo. BLACKPINK’s star continues to shine in Dior’s 60s-inspired creations, which are sourced from Marc Bohan’s famous Slim Look archives. The creations this season are bold and flirtatious and feature streamlined silhouettes and boxy shapes. Ji Soo is seen in a bright yellow co-ord tailored suit and matching Lady Dior bag.

Valentino

Valentino is back in Rome. The Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2022/23 collection will be presented at two landmark locations, Piazza Mignanelli & Trinita dei Monti on July 8, 2022. The collection’s Fall/Winter Haute Couture show featured striking colors and elegant sartorial styling. Pierpaolo Piccioli, Creative Director, says, “Roma’s the place where all things start, the life, people, stories, and identities are here. This place is our home, just as Valentino and the world are ours.”

Fendi

The label collaborated with Luca Guadagnino, a well-known director and friend of Fendi, to celebrate the Fendi Peekaboo bag. The partnership resulted in a short movie, which depicts Adwoa Aboah as a superwoman who levitates above Roman rooftops to arrive at Fendi’s Palazzo della Civilta Italiana.

The filmmaker said that Fendi was worn by his mother back in the 70s/80s.

Coach

Coach, a global fashion house, has released its Spring 2022 collection in a loving tribute to New York City. Stuart Vevers’ vision of the house is inspired by Bonnie Cashin’s archives and houndstooth prints.

“Spring is my vision of a new vocabulary for American fashion.” The creative director said that it was also a celebration of Bonnie Cashin, Coach’s first designer.

Louis Vuitton

Where is Louis Vuitton going for its next presentation? Today, the Maison announced the location of its Cruise 2023 collection presentation. It will be held at La Jolla’s Salk Institute, San Diego County in California, on 12 May 2022.

The institute is a treasure trove of modern, Brutalist architecture. It was designed by Louis Kahn (American architect from Estonia), in collaboration with Dr Jonas Salk. Salk is a scientist who made a lasting impression on the scientific community when he discovered the first effective and safe polio vaccine. Another historic event is the Salk Institute’s first ever fashion show.

Kate Spade New York

Kate Spade New York’s SS22 Collection is a must-see. The brand’s vibrant Fall 2022 collection was presented at SoHo’s iconic 214 Lafayette Townhouse in New York. The collection is inspired by the comforts of home and features a rose-covered wallpaper, cozy plaid, and a crisp pleat of a lamphade. The brand’s latest coffee table book, entitled “Celebrate That!” was also released. Occasions is a collection essays that encourage readers to cherish every meaningful moment, no matter how small.

Adidas x Marimekko

Adidas x Marimekko allows you to inject colour and print into your everyday wardrobe. Two fashion icons are back with a new collection for Spring/Summer 2022. The Unikko logo can be found on leggings and tracksuits as well as tank tops and sports bras. You can also find the joyful print on UltraBOOST 22 or UltraBOOST 5.
