Ooops! There are teams that make sure everything runs smoothly on both TV and movie productions. But sometimes things fall through the cracks. Fans are here to help.

Over the years viewers have highlighted the mishaps in the entertainment industry, including the Starbucks cup of 2019 which was featured in a Game of Thrones scene.

“News from Winterfell. The latte that was featured in the episode was a mistake,” Game of Thrones’ team tweeted May of that year. “#Daenerys [AKA Emilia Clarke] had ordered a herbal tea.” Starbucks joined the fun by tweeting, “TBH, we’re surprised”.

TikTok users are quicker than Twitter users to spot mistakes in favorite films and shows. TikTok is the place to go to to spot fashion mistakes and continuity problems.

The inconsistencies in shows like Friends and Gossip Girl are hard to overlook with streaming services at their fingertips.

After @skyehanamaikai, a TikTok user, went viral in spring 2020, amassing over 1.2 million “likes” after she pointed out an erroneous style choice on season 6 Gossip Girl. This was eight years after the episode aired.

She said that Blake Lively’s character Serena Van Der Woodsen was accidentally filmed in black sweatpants underneath her peach dress in a scene from “Portrait of a Lady Alexander”.

One social media user responded to the reveal by writing, “I’ve already watched GG six times and never noticed.” Another user asked “Why didn’t I notice this?”

Another user suggested that the sweatpants could have been due to the cold temperature on TV sets. He said, “Most actors wear layers between takes, and sometimes leave them on if they are from the waist up.”

Postproduction failures have happened to movies, such as Avengers: Endgame.

Scroll down to see some of the most hilarious social media film and TV mistakes.

  • Gossip Girl Fashion Error

One user noticed a fashion faux pas while watching the fourth episode, “Portrait Of a Lady Alexander”, in Gossip Girl season 6. Lively’s character is seen wearing a peach dress as she stands in a restaurant. However, in the next frame, Lively’s character is wearing black sweatpants underneath her fitted frock. This was a huge mistake in the wardrobe department.

  • Avengers Endgame Mishap

After pointing out an important plot hole in Avengers: Endgame, TikTok user @Laurisramirez10 became viral in May 2020. Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), appears as a background character while the Avengers fight in the final battle. However, Ant-Man is actually hotwiring a van together with Wasp (Evangeline Lililly) which means he accidentally is in two places at the same time.

  • Swap of High School Musical Songs

One social media user noticed a problem in the singing of Troy Bolton (Zac Elfron) and Gabriella Montez (Vanessa Hudgens). Gabriella stops on the stage and starts to walk away, but Troy stops her. They return to the center stage, where Troy starts singing. Strangely, it was Gabriella who was supposed start the song. This is why her stage fright nearly halted the entire number. However, Troy gets things started.

  • Barefoot Upper Eastsider

One Gossip Girl fan noticed that, while Blair Waldorf (Leighton Myester) and Dan Humphry(Penn Badgley), are out walking at a party in June 2020, there is an additional in the background who is wearing one shoe. On one side, the woman is seen walking barefoot and on the other wearing a high heel.

  • Double Take from Friends’ Dad

Friends fans noticed a continuity mistake in February 2021. In a scene from season 8, “The One” Rachel (Jennifer Aniston), Ross (David Schwimmer), and Judy (Christina Pickles), are talking to Jack Gellar (Elliott Gould), at the Gellar 35th anniversary party. The camera changes angles at one point and shows Gould’s stand-in.

  • House Bunny Hair

@sloopyflooop, a TikTok user, noticed a beauty mistake in 2008’s The House Bunny. She was watching the film in March 2021. Shelley Darlingson’s character in Anna Faris’ film, The House Bunny, was having her hair done by a stylist. However, the user pointed out that her hairdresser doesn’t do any actual work to her ‘do’. You can see that Faris’ blonde hair is not touched by the curling iron. Instead, the stylist moves his hand closer to her head.

  • One Tree Hill’s Car Switch

TikTok user @sarah_wirgau spotted Chad Michael Murray’s and Paul Johansson’s doubles while watching One Tree Hill’s season 2 episode 6 on Hulu. “Lucas & Dan caught red handed,” captioned the user. The clip was recorded in July 2021 and featured Murray’s Lucas Scott driving alongside Johansson in a red convertible. The camera zooms in on Felix Taggarro, a father-son race newcomer (played in part by Michael Copon), and captures the stunt doubles in the same red car.

  • Pic of You’s Unique Profile

TikTok user Joe noticed in Season 3 that Joe’s Messenger photo doesn’t look like the actor he plays.

“IM LOSING MY MINDFUL ??? Who is that?” captioned the viewer. It was a clip of Love (Victoria Pedretti), texting Joe (Penn Badgley). One person joked that the image was not of Joe Goldberg but rather “Joey Silverberg.”
