The 5 Step Everyday Routine to Age Well
20.09.20211. Start the day with a glass of warm water and half a lemon
Although most people would rather have a cup coffee to begin the day, you should also drink warm lemon water. Warm lemon water has been in existence for at least two centuries. There are many benefits. It helps digestion by encouraging the liver to make bile. The lemon juice also helps with symptoms such as heartburn and belching. Vitamin C is an immune booster and natural diuretic. Lemons are one of the best foods to alkalize the body, which may explain why they can reduce urinary tract infections. This is a simple step that you can incorporate into your daily routine.
2. The Five Tibetan Rites are a great way to warm up your body
The five Tibetan Rites were named by Tibetan lamas because they believed that these exercises could help maintain youth. They also believed that the speed of the chakras, which are the seven main energy vortexes of the body, was the key to health and vitality. Five simple exercises are all that you need to do. We don’t know if the same is true for the chakras. These simple exercises can be a great addition to your morning routine. Here are a few:
- Increase your physical strength.
- Increase bone mass
- Improve digestion
- Reduce fat around the midsection.
- Strengthen your core muscles
- Relieve pain and strengthen your spine.
Gradually increase the number of moves over a 10-week period, until you can do twenty-one repetitions. They should be done daily and take no more than 10 minutes. We suggest that you do them right after drinking warm lemon water. These exercises should be done more often if you are older than 65. You need to get your body warm or you could do more harm than good.
P.S. A video is the best way to learn about the five Tibetan rites. Check YouTube.
3. Flaxseed is a good choice
After you have had your warm lemon water, and completed your five Tibetan rituals, add one tablespoon of flaxseed (either whole or ground) to your daily routine. The soaked flaxseeds can be mixed with some orange juice and consumed all at once. You can also add ground flaxseed to your yogurt, protein shake or sprinkle it on cereal with fruits.
This remedy will help you achieve regular bowel movements and what Suzy calls “the perfect stool”. Flaxseed consumption is a long-standing practice. It can be enjoyed in warm lemon water or the five Tibetan Rite. Flaxseed was first grown in Babylon around 3000 BC. King Charlemagne, who believed in flaxseed’s health benefits, passed laws mandating that his subjects eat it. Thirteen centuries later, it seems that Charlemagne was correct. Flaxseed daily intake may reduce your risk of developing heart disease, stroke, or cancer.
4. You need to ensure that you get enough vitamin D
If you don’t drink milk, or don’t take vitamin D with calcium, it is possible you may be deficient. Vitamin D is important for calcium absorption. Doctor suggests that if you don’t have it enough you might have been suffering from autoimmune arthritis. There are also doctors who believe that vitamin D deficiency could cause inflammation. It is not clear whether vitamin D helps as much with calcium absorption. Two studies had different results. The first study showed no benefits from vitamin D, while the second found that older women need to take more vitamin D. It is best to consult your doctor before you start taking vitamin D supplements. Supplements may be your great option for healthy aging.
5. Every morning exercise vigorously
Belgian researchers conducted a six week study to see if men’s morning routines had an impact on how they metabolize fat. The group who exercised before breakfast lost almost all of their excess weight and had no insulin resistance. They also burnt more fat than those who ate less. We wanted to find out if there had been any studies on women to determine the best time of day to exercise to lose fat. It turned out that there were.
Daily Mail in the U.K. reported on a study by Dr. Adam Collins of University of Surrey. Dr. Collins found that women burn more fat than men and that those who eat carbohydrates before exercising lost up to 22 percent of their body fat. This experiment confirmed the Belgium study’s findings that for men exercise is better before eating. Women must eat after exercise and wait at least 90 minutes before eating again.
The first three suggestions have proven to be the most reliable in maintaining optimal health and vitality. There are many other ways to do this, but they’ve stood the test of the time. Although the last two recommendations are more personal, it is worth looking into to see if they can make an impact on your overall health. You will all age. But a good morning routine can help you age well.
