The purple fashion trend has been growing stronger since 2021, when it had put the internet in a coma. Perhaps it’s Pantone who has chosen Very Peri to be its Colour of Year 2022. Maybe lilac or violet are the mood-enhancing hues that we’re looking for in our spring wardrobes.

Bottega Veneta Green has been a popular choice on the catwalks and high streets. It’s clear that people are more adventurous with colour than ever before. While black will always be the most popular colour, pops of vibrancy can be welcomed. Particularly in spring/summer.

Unexpected colour clashes are common already. Our favorite Instagram fashion icons have chosen lilac to be their color. We love the combination of cuteness, boldness, and kitsch.

It’s much more fun to wear a color than just a whatever shoulder shape, or a long skirt. You can choose whatever you like to be part of the current trend. No matter if you’re looking for a smart, city-proof coat or a spring dress, there are many options. Begin small with a belt, a pair of socks, or sunglasses. Or go all out and wear a trouser suit like Vitaliia, Nicole Ocran, or a full Prince.

Violet looks great with bright colors that make it pop (@evelilycp is a master at this), but it looks lovely with pastels. The perfect companions for the soft spectrum are lemon, lime, and pink. A violet blouse or cardigan worn with jeans and denim jeans is a good choice if you prefer darker shades.

A jacket and dress in the same color could be combined to create a full lavender look. Or you can mix and match different shades of lilac, such as in skirt and sandals together. It’s a great way to look polished and professional, even Meghan Markle loves the idea of wearing one color from head to toe.

No matter how you style it, it should be ultra violet. This is all you need to know about purple fashion.
