It is now 2022. Despite what we were taught in the early aughts to believe, fashion trends don’t have age limits. You can wear a fuzzy muppet cap at 45. You can do it. Are you tempted to embrace the Y2K mini… again? Even Nicole Kidman says heck yes. Bow embellishments aren’t something you should be ashamed of, despite what your brain may be telling you. You’ll see them more on different kinds of clothing and accessories.

The runways for Fall 2022 are full of bows. They are also small and medium-sized. They were seen at Carolina Herrera, where they were creating red carpet-worthy looks. At Coach, they looked a little more casual in a lace minidress. This instantly took us back to the early 2000s. This detail doesn’t have to be a wait-listed item. We are well on our way towards bow dresses, bow shirts and bow sweaters becoming more popular.

This trend can be worn in many ways: as an accessory or oversized. We’ve collected a list of our top brands that incorporate bows into their designs for your inspiration.

  • Carolina Herrera

You don’t have to stop at just one. The bubblegum pink dress had multiple bows running down the sides, adding feminine flair.

  • Brandon Maxwell

Brandon Maxwell, on the other end of the spectrum, had a subtler interpretation. He added a delicate bow belt to a flowing dress and Brandon Maxwell did the same.

  • Bronx and Banco

An oversized, electric violet, ’80s-inspired bow gives a little black dress some extra oomph.

  • Jason Wu

The perfect combination of sweet and sexy is a simple bow crop top.

  • Salone Monet

This brand is already loved for its large selection of nude heels. But these slides with removable bows will be a favorite footwear item in the near future.

  • Coach

The lace babydoll dress is bow-embellished and brings us back to 2010. Coach updated the look with a baseball cap and choker.

  • Christian Cowan

Since 2020, we love shoulder-tie tops. But if you want something bolder, the oversized bow belt is a great alternative.

  • Oscar de la Renta

Their look is more than just real bows. Beaded graphic details are also possible.

  • Saint Sintra

Bow-embellished jumpsuits and dresses come and go every few years. A bow button-down, however, is a new way to wear this trend.

  • Veronica Beard

A single shoulder is our favorite. A big bow is a great way to complete the look.

  • Markarian

Don’t be afraid of adding a bow belt to your dress, even if it already has bow straps. This trend isn’t about going too crazy.
